Job Summary
We are seeking a driven Sales Representative to join our Ohio team, focusing on a high-potential territory north of Dayton and south of Toledo. This role is ideal for a competitive professional with a proven sales background, eager to generate new business, build relationships, and drive revenue in machine tools and related equipment. You will prospect independently, sell complex capital solutions, and leverage our strong service reputation for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect new business through cold calling, face-to-face visits, and building a personal pipeline.
- Sell machine tools and fabrication equipment to diverse stakeholders, including presidents, shop foremen, CFOs, and engineers.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships to grow sales and revenue.
- Handle sales cycles with resilience, overcoming rejection in a competitive market.
- Collaborate with the team for territory strategies and ongoing support.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record in machine tool sales or fabrication equipment (e.g., press brakes) within similar territories.
- Strong "hunter" mentality: highly competitive, self-motivated, and focused on generating new business.
- Deep knowledge of machine tools, builders, and capital equipment sales.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills for engaging at all levels.
- Ability to prospect independently and manage high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships in the territory and a history of sales growth.
- Experience from related industries (e.g., fabrication equipment) or applications engineering (with additional training).
- Mechanical aptitude or technical background in manufacturing.
Compensation and Benefits
- $60,000 base salary plus 10% of gross profit, with potential to increase to 20%.
- High earning potential for top performers: $250,000–$300,000+ annually, with ramp-up possible in 3-6 months.

Location
This role is based in Ohio, with a territory covering approximately eight counties north of Dayton to south of Toledo, extending to the Indiana state line. Ideal candidates should reside within or very near the territory.
