    Job Summary

    We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining a strong book of business near Richmond, VA by engaging with current and prospective clients. You will conduct face-to-face meetings to assess their needs, recommend tailored solutions, and represent some of the most prominent brands in metal fabrication and robotic welding.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and nurture client relationships through in-person meetings, identifying opportunities and providing effective solutions.
    • Represent leading industry brands while addressing client requirements in metal fabrication and robotic welding equipment.
    • Perform cold calls and travel to customer sites to expand your territory and drive sales growth.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
    • Manage sales activities with a focus on achieving targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Required Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in sales within the manufacturing industry.
    • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including executives and CEOs.
    • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and customer-oriented mindset.
    • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in computers, finance, and business principles.
    • Enthusiasm for cold calling and willingness to travel to client locations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
    • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, plus expenses.
    • Commission structure starting at 30% and scaling up to 45%, with potential to transition to a straight commission plan.

    Location

    This role is based in Virginia, primarily Richmond, Norfolk and the surrounding areas. Residence and travel within the territory is required.
