Sales Engineer Smyrna, GA
Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for sales development, management, satisfaction, and order fulfilment in line with mutually defined sales goals and expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides input and direction for creating strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products.
Delivers sales presentations to clients and prospects.
Meets with clients and prospects, to maintain or develop relationships, negotiating and order booking.
Coordinates liaison to Sales Coordinator, manufacturing facilities, HQ, and other sales related units.
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Provides input and direction for product research and development consideration.
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Performs any other duties assigned or delegated by the manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook / G Suite); Design Software (Photoshop/Illustrator); Order Processing Systems; Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Presentation Software (PowerPoint)); CRM Software (Salesforce); Proprietary Software.
No supervisory responsibilities.
