    Sales Estimator

    Growth oriented, and demolition, abatement and construction company has an opportunity for an experienced Sales Estimator in the commercial and industrial industries. The rapid growth of our company has created the demand for someone who can step in and immediately estimate projects.     Essential Responsibilities:

    • Account for the use of our resources, plus a reasonable profit margin to calculate and total price.
    • Performing risk assessments to account for potential deviations from the project plan
    • Collecting all pertinent documents including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications.
    • Studying documentation, meeting with customers, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
    • Deciding on the most appropriate human and material resources for each project.
    • Obtaining multiple quotes for each of these and then selecting the most suitable offers.
    • Negotiating with service providers to secure better prices.
    • Outlining the work plan to gauge how much time will be needed to complete each job task and phase.
    • Draft proposals that envisaged materials, costs, and time frames.
    • Meeting with clients to discuss their thoughts and concerns about our offers.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • 4 years’ experience in Commercial or Industrial as a Sales or Construction Estimator, with as a Sales or Construction Estimator.
    • High School diploma or GED is required. A bachelor’s degree in construction management or a similar field is a plus.
    • Project Management experience is highly advantageous.
    • Ability to forecast the cost of high-ticket items involved in job projects.
    • Experience reading drawings and expert knowledge with building codes and requirements. Knowledge of relevant technical and nontechnical documents.
    • Exceptional quantitative skills.
    • Outstanding research and proposal writing skills.
    • Ability to negotiate with seasoned Customer personnel.
    • Dependable, conscientious, and well-spoken.
    • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
    • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office.
    • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
