  • Responsibilities

    The Sales & Events Manager is responsible for booking, managing, and executing events of 50 attendees or more. This role serves as the main point of contact for clients, from the initial inquiry through post-event billing. The ideal candidate excels in client relations, event planning, and cross-department coordination, ensuring a seamless and professional guest experience. Responsibilities: Market Segment Focus: • Book and Manage all aspects of events with 50 or more attendees. Lead Management: • Identify and qualify new leads. Respond to incoming leads and coordinate logistics for events, including those with or without a courtesy room block (10 rooms or fewer). Event Execution: On-site Client Contact: • Act as the primary onsite point of contact during events, ensuring client needs are met and expectations are exceeded. Able to address any issues that arise. Site Tours: • Conduct scheduled property tours for prospective clients. Planning Meetings: • Organize and lead planning sessions with clients to finalize event details and ensure clear communication. Menu Development: • Collaborate with culinary teams to create customized menus and pricing structures when required. Event Materials: • Prepare professional menu cards and other materials needed for events. Banquet Coordination: • Conduct detailed Event Order (EO) meetings with banquet and operations teams to align on event execution. Client Billing Oversight: • Post event evaluation, review and confirm the accuracy of final client bills, resolving any discrepancies proactively. Event Planner Recognition: • Collect Event Planner Points data monthly for submission in accordance with hotel programs. Networking & Representation: • Attend relevant industry networking events to promote the hotel’s services, strengthen relationships, and attract new business. Qualifications: • Proven experience in sales and event management (preferably in hospitality) • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines with attention to detail • Familiarity with event management systems and property management systems is a plus • Flexible schedule to accommodate client needs, including evenings or weekends Compensation: $45,000 to start DOE
