Sales Executive – Specialty Ingredients (Northeastern U.S.)

This role will be responsible for
- Marketing and selling specialty ingredients across the food, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries
- Developing, managing, and strengthening business-critical customer relationships
- Identifying key accounts and shaping strategic plans to grow and protect business
- Driving new business opportunities through prospecting, application development, and solution-oriented selling
- Assisting customers with technical formulas, troubleshooting, and product application support
- Maintaining CRM records for leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Reporting market intelligence including competitor activity, customer trends, and industry developments
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, R&D, Technical Services, and other internal teams
- Participating in trade associations and industry events to elevate presence and expertise
Expectations will include
- Living within the Northeastern United States territory
- Traveling 40%+ for customer visits, meetings, trainings, conferences, and tradeshows
- Maintaining a high level of product and market knowledge
- Providing exceptional customer service and timely communication
- Consistently meeting sales goals while proactively pursuing new opportunities
- Representing the organization professionally in all customer and industry interactions
A qualified candidate will possess the following
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
- 5+ years of technical B2B ingredients sales experience within the food sector
- Strong communication and persuasive presentation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks and customer relationships
- Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex problems and anticipate market needs
- Highly action-oriented, results-driven, and skilled at managing a dynamic sales pipeline
- Commitment to ongoing personal development and industry learning
