From crafting single-vineyard wines sourced from some of Sonoma’s most enduring sites to restoring our Tasting Lounge—a local landmark—to its former glory, Pangloss is dedicated to showcasing Sonoma not only as the birthplace of California wine, but as the centerpiece of the industry today. With over 4,000 square feet of indoor space, we offer a variety of unique experiences. Our tasting lounge introduces guests to our complete collection of wines, ensuring a diverse yet distinctly Pangloss experience. Our wines are exclusively available through our Tasting Lounge, membership, and website.

    We offer above-market compensation averaging $30-$35/hr, inclusive of commission & gratuity. Additionally, we have a top-tier health and dental plan and retirement plan.

    Responsibilities:

    Consistently deliver impeccable hospitality and service that supports the core mission of the brand.

    In a prior reservation environment, promote and effectively sell wine and wine club memberships for Pangloss, Repris, and Texture Wines.

    Meet monthly sales and conversion goals, both in the Tasting Lounge as well as in follow-up outbound communication via phone and email to members and guests you hosted

    Accurate and timely customer data and order entry

    Assist in the daily opening and closing procedures

    Demonstrates personal accountability by completing all job duties in a correct and timely manner and by following all company policies and procedures.

    Requirements:

    Sales and goal-oriented team player

    Meet monthly sales and conversion goals, both in the Tasting Lounge as well as through outbound calling and emailing sales campaigns

    Ability to intelligently and articulately communicate about our wines and membership tiers

    Easily flexes into tailoring the experience for the novice or the well-informed connoisseur

    Strong background and knowledge of wine and the winemaking process

    Very organized and detail-oriented

    Self-starter, internally driven, and motivated

    Must thrive in a high-energy and fast-paced environment

    Strong time management and multi-tasking skills

    Effective verbal and written communication skills

    Must be able to lift 40 pounds

    Weekends, some holidays, and some evenings are required
