Job Summary
The Sales & Insulation Manager drives insulation revenue growth by overseeing in-home sales, managing insulation jobs, and coaching field technicians to optimize performance. This high-impact role blends leadership, technical expertise, and sales strategy to ensure accurate job scoping, profitable sales, and high-quality execution. The ideal candidate is a proven closer with strong leadership skills, eager to grow the insulation service line.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management: Conduct in-home insulation assessments, build value, and close high-ticket sales. Follow up on open estimates and unbooked leads, track weekly sales performance (estimates, closes, conversion %), and ensure correct pricing and profit margins. Assist in developing upsell materials and training tools.
Team Leadership: Coach field technicians on insulation services and sales opportunities through ride-along support and job-site guidance. Collaborate with recruiting and training to onboard new team members and set individual performance goals for field staff.
Operations & Job Oversight: Schedule, staff, and oversee insulation jobs to ensure completion to company standards. Conduct job site inspections for quality assurance, handle escalations or rework, and collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and workload.
Cross-Department Coordination: Align lead volume with sales capacity by working with marketing, provide input on product offerings and pricing strategy, and communicate field needs and job flow challenges to operations leadership.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Proven track record in in-home sales, required (preferably in insulation or HVAC).
Strong leadership and coaching skills to manage and train field teams (required).
Exceptional attention to detail in job scoping, documentation, and quality control (required).
Organized, data-driven, with experience using CRM or sales tracking systems.
Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and field environments.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of in-home sales experience required (in insulation, HVAC, or a similar trade is preferred).
Leadership or team management experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
Ability to reliably commute to our office in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Availability to work full-time hours, including occasional Saturdays.
Comfortable with physical labor and field-based work.
No special certifications or licenses required.
Compensation
Pay Structure: Commission-based, with total compensation package estimated at $75,000–$150,000 annually, based on closed sales.
Bonuses: Additional commission paid on closed sales.
Additional Information
This leadership role requires hands-on sales expertise and the ability to manage a job pipeline while working in customers’ homes and attics. A company vehicle and tools are provided.
