You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share • Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads • Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel Qualifications: • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively • Good organization and time management skills • 3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality • Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired • This position requires previous work experience in a hospitality role Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 yearly
