    Job Description

    The Sales Manager – Americas will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share for Telex Aviation products across North and Latin America. This role focuses on developing and executing regional sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, expanding Telex Aviation’s presence across airline, general aviation, and aviation distribution markets, and representing Telex at key industry events.

    The ideal candidate will bring strong aviation industry experience, preferably with aviation headset products, and a proven ability to deliver growth through both direct sales and channel management. This role will also collaborate closely with Sales Managers from other global regions to ensure consistent execution of the overall Telex Aviation strategy.

    Primary Responsibilties:

    • Sales Strategy & Execution
      • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives across the Americas region.
      • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to expand Telex Aviation’s presence.
      • Monitor and analyze regional sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity.
    • Customer & Partner Management
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, general aviation operators, MROs, distributors, and channel partners.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts in the Americas, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
      • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial agreements within defined guidelines.
      • Communicate regularly with Partners, monitor their performance monthly, and help them achieve annual sales goals.
    • Business Development & Market Growth
      • Drive growth initiatives with existing and new airline customers to expand headset adoption.
      • Partner with marketing to develop regional campaigns, trade show participation, and promotional activities.
      • Provide input to product management and engineering teams on customer requirements and regional needs.
    • Trade Shows & Regional Marketing
      • Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, conferences, and aviation events throughout the Americas region in collaboration with the Marketing department.
      • Ensure consistent brand representation and maximize customer engagement at regional industry events.
      • Support development of regional marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
      • Work closely with the Global Head of Sales & Marketing to align regional execution with global strategy.
      • Collaborate with the Sales Managers for EMEA, Asia-Pacific, and China to ensure consistency, share best practices, and leverage global opportunities.
      • Collaborate with supply chain, customer support, and operations to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
      • Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline visibility, and sales reporting.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
    • At least 7 years sales experience, with at least 3 years in the aviation industry, with a strong preference for experience in aviation headset or related cockpit/crew communication equipment.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a regional or international role.
    • Experience working with airlines, aviation OEMs, and distribution networks.
    • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and presentation skills.
    • Write clear, well-organized e-mails, memos, letters and proposals while using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation.
    • Experience in trade show planning, execution, and customer engagement is highly valued.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and can demonstrate our products and software to others.
    • Possess an aggressive determination to succeed, model work ethic, and ability to work independently or with others.
    • At least 50% travel required within North America and Latin America.
    • Holding an unexpired passport without restrictions is required.

    Additional Information

    The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$138,000 annually. The role is also eligible for commission. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
