    Our busy hotel is looking for an enthusiastic person with great sales skills and a customer-focused approach to be our next sales manager. You will add passion and creativity to our sales team, as well as build a strategy to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. You will also be able to increase sales by monitoring local market trends and competitor activity in order to find and close business leads. We are searching for someone with at least 2 years of hotel or resort sales expertise, as well as a love for meeting new people and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities • Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements • Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to keep and expand our market share • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing Qualifications: • Proven experience as a hospitality sales person (2+ years preferred) • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills • Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills • Proficient in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in hospitality, event management, or related field (Preferred)
