As B2B Sales Manager, you'll build and lead your own division of Benefits Advisors while driving agency growth. This dual-focus role requires both proven sales leadership and hands-on team development capability—you'll recruit professionals with sales potential, train them on consultative selling methodologies, and coach them to achieve consistent production while earning override income on your team's collective results. Your initial phase involves maintaining personal sales activity (leveraging your existing professional network for early wins) while simultaneously recruiting and developing your first advisors. As your team gains traction and demonstrates consistent production, your focus transitions toward pure leadership: recruiting additional talent, conducting team training, managing accountability systems, and scaling your division. Demonstrated B2B sales management experience required. You must show proven ability to recruit talent, develop producers through hands-on coaching, and maintain accountability standards while building team culture. Performance-based compensation structure combining override income on team production, personal sales earnings, plus bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance bonuses tied to team development milestones and production targets. Must obtain Texas Life & Health Insurance License within 30-90 days. Responsibilities: • Build your division by recruiting Benefits Advisors through strategic talent sourcing, professional interviewing processes, and selection of coachable individuals with sales aptitude and professional presence • Develop sales capability in your team members through comprehensive field training, accompanying them on joint sales appointments, and providing hands-on mentorship in prospecting techniques, discovery conversations, solution presentation, and closing strategies • Conduct individual coaching sessions weekly with each team member, focusing on activity metrics analysis, pipeline health assessment, skill gap identification, and achievement of production benchmarks • Generate personal production during your team building phase by leveraging your established professional network and business relationships to close initial accounts and model effective selling • Establish accountability frameworks for your division through activity tracking systems, regular performance evaluations, individual development planning, and consistent enforcement of production standards • Facilitate team skill development through group training sessions covering sales techniques, product knowledge deepening, objection handling strategies, and market positioning approaches • Manage your division's collective book with responsibility for client relationship health, retention metrics, and revenue growth across all accounts your team develops Qualifications: • Demonstrated B2B sales success with 3-5+ years showing consistent achievement of or exceeding sales targets with verifiable production track record • Sales leadership experience including 2+ years actively recruiting sales talent, training new producers, or managing sales team performance with documented development outcomes • Established professional network in Northwest Houston/Cypress area (leveraging existing business relationships and connections significantly accelerates your early sales success and team credibility) • Proven leadership competencies, including talent development, team motivation, accountability management, performance coaching, and interpersonal conflict resolution • Results-oriented mindset with demonstrated comfort in performance-based compensation structures where earnings directly correlate with team development and production results • Professional mobility with a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for client appointments, team field training, and business development activities throughout the territory • Commitment to licensing within 30-90 days (we provide comprehensive pre-licensing training and examination preparation support) Preferred: Active Texas Life & Health Insurance License, direct experience in employee benefits/insurance/financial services sectors, or documented success managing sales teams in related B2B industries Bonus: Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, active involvement in Northwest Houston business or professional associations, or bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000 yearly
