Title: Sale Manager- International Freight Forwarding (Ocean) Position Background: This role serves as a core sales position facing the U.S. local market. The primary objective is to expand the North American customer base, with a special focus on high-value client segments, thereby increasing the company’s direct customer share in the U.S. market.
Reports To: BD Manager and Group President
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain U.S.-based international ocean freight customers (FCL/LCL) with supply chain support from the Business Development Manager.
Focus on acquiring and expanding high-value client groups, establishing long-term and stable transportation partnerships.
Independently manage customer negotiations, quotations, contract signings, and ongoing relationship maintenance.
Coordinate with headquarters and the U.S. operations team to ensure customer needs are matched quickly with suitable supply chain resources.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities, and regularly provide customer and market analysis reports.
Candidate Profile:
Deep understanding of the U.S. local business environment and client communication practices.
5-10 years of sales experience in international ocean freight (FCL/LCL), with an established client base or proven track record in North America.
Possesses immediately transferable direct-customer resources, with strong networks in wholesale, retail, and large trading companies.
Highly driven and results-oriented, skilled in efficient communication, accurately identifying client needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
Capable of collaborating smoothly with the Chinese team and understanding cross-cultural business requirements.
Compensation Model: Primarily commission-based (base salary option open for discussion).
Location: Preferably California; must be able to travel.
