We are seeking an active, floor-present sales leader to coach teams, drive high-ticket commissioned sales, and build a high-performance culture. Ideal backgrounds include automotive, furniture, mattress, luxury retail, jewelry, home improvement, or electronics sales.
Position Summary
The Sales Manager leads, develops, and motivates a commissioned sales team to drive revenue growth and exceed company objectives. This active leadership role centers on the sales floor—coaching employees, reviewing customer interactions, and holding team members accountable to deliver top-tier customer service and performance.
First 90-Day Priorities
Within your first three months, you will:
Master the PetCenter sales process and financing programs.
Build team credibility through hands-on leadership and daily coaching using real customer interactions.
Increase closing percentages and average transaction values.
Implement individual coaching plans, scorecards, and performance metrics.
Recruit, onboard, and develop high-quality sales talent to foster a competitive, results-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Coaching
Lead from the Floor: Drive daily revenue growth, create high energy, and model professional selling techniques.
Daily Coaching: Conduct one-on-one sessions, role-play scenarios, handle objections, and develop product and financing knowledge.
KPI Tracking: Monitor and improve closing percentages, average transaction values, financing approvals, add-ons, and sales per labor hour.
Talent Development & Operations
Recruitment & Retention: Recruit, hire, onboard, evaluate, and recognize exceptional sales professionals.
Customer Experience: Ensure consultative, personalized guest interactions, ethical financing presentations, and professional escalation resolutions.
Operational Execution: Partner with leadership on scheduling, sales reports, labor productivity, paperwork, and showroom standards.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly, quarterly, and annual sales growth
Closing percentage and average sale value
Financing utilization and sales per labor hour
Customer satisfaction, employee development, and team retention
Qualifications
Required:
3–5 years of commissioned sales management experience
Proven success leading teams, driving goals, and utilizing performance metrics
Strong leadership, communication, time management, and organizational skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Flexibility to work retail hours, evenings, and weekends
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Management
High-ticket or retail management background (automotive, furniture, mattress, luxury, jewelry, electronics, home improvement)
Consumer financing, CRM, and retail POS experience
