Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United States Travel: As needed for customer visits, industry events and internal meetings

Compensation: Target base salary approximately $100,000 +, flexible based on experience and industry network. Depending on experience; individual package to be confirmed.

    The Opportunity

An established global specialty materials manufacturer is seeking one experienced commercial professional to lead business development, sales and marketing across two complementary product lines: high molecular weight polyester resins for adhesives/coatings, and polyester elastomers including TPEE/COPE. This is one combined role—not two separate openings. Success requires meaningful technical fluency and an established customer network in relevant specialty chemical markets.

    Product and Market Focus

    • High molecular weight polyester resins used in adhesives, paints and coatings, including coil and can coatings and hot-melt applications.
    • Thermoplastic polyester elastomers (TPEE/COPE) used in automotive components, industrial goods, consumer products, footwear midsoles, breathable films, and wire and cable.
    • Develop relationships with manufacturers, formulators, processors, OEMs and brand owners; identify high-value applications and adoption opportunities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own sales and strategic business development across both product lines; prospect, qualify, cultivate and grow customer accounts.
    • Leverage existing industry relationships to open doors with decision-makers, develop new applications and increase product adoption.
    • Manage OEM and brand-owner initiatives from early technical discussion through testing, qualification and commercialization.
    • Partner with technical, application development and R&D teams on trials, customer support and troubleshooting.
    • Monitor markets, pricing, customer needs, regulatory trends and competitor positioning; translate insights into actionable plans.
    • Prepare customer presentations, technical/marketing materials, sales forecasts and account plans; maintain disciplined CRM records.
    • Represent the business at customer visits, trade events and internal meetings as required.

    Qualifications

    • Approximately 10 years of relevant sales, strategic marketing or technical business development experience in specialty chemicals or performance polymers preferred.
    • Demonstrated commercial success in polyester resins, polyurethane/polyester adhesives, coatings, TPEE/COPE, TPU or closely related materials.
    • Established relationships in adhesives/coatings and/or elastomer markets; ability to credibly develop both product portfolios is essential.
    • Strong technical understanding of application development, customer testing and troubleshooting; manufacturing/supplier-side experience preferred.
    • Experience engaging OEMs, brand owners, technical teams, purchasing and commercial stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations; ability to work across global, multicultural teams.
    • Proficiency with CRM, forecasting and market/data analysis.

    Candidate Profile

The strongest candidate is a commercially driven specialty chemicals professional who combines a portable network, technical product knowledge and a record of building revenue. Direct expertise in both portfolios is ideal; strong depth in one with credible adjacent experience and the ability to sell the other may warrant consideration.

    Application

Qualified candidates should submit a current resume highlighting relevant product lines, target markets, customer relationships and measurable business development achievements.
