Job Summary
David Ensignia Tennis Academy (DETA) is a premier tennis and pickleball organization dedicated to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through year-round programming, tournaments, camps, and events. With a strong presence in the South Florida community, DETA is looking to expand its impact through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and corporate engagement. We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sponsorship & Partnerships Manager to lead the development of sponsorships, partnerships, and corporate events. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and experience in the sports, events, or nonprofit sectors.
Responsibilities
Sponsorship Development:
Identify and secure sponsorships from local, regional, and national brands aligned with our mission and audience.
Develop compelling sponsorship packages tailored to each brand’s goals and marketing needs.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing sponsors through ongoing communication, updates, and reporting.
Corporate Partnerships:
Build partnerships with companies for wellness initiatives, employee engagement events, and branded tennis or pickleball days.
Coordinate logistics and delivery of all partnership activations and benefits.
Event Sales & Coordination:
Drive the sales and planning of private and corporate tennis/pickleball events.
Collaborate with coaching staff and operations team to ensure flawless execution.
Prepare event proposals, budgets, and post-event reports.
Marketing Support:
Work closely with the marketing team to ensure visibility of partner logos, mentions in newsletters, social media, and on-site branding.
Represent the academy at networking events and community functions.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in sponsorship sales, event partnerships, corporate sales, or business development (preferably in the sports, recreation, or nonprofit sectors).
Strong existing network of potential sponsors and business contacts is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivated, with a strong drive to meet and exceed goals.
Proficiency in proposal creation, and basic budgeting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion for tennis, pickleball, or active lifestyles.
Experience with event planning or sports marketing.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
