The Sales Professional is responsible for overseeing the sales activities of portable storage buildings, including storage units, sheds, and related products. This position involves managing a sales budget, setting targets, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth within the market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
* With the direction of the VP of Sales, develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed company targets.
* Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
* Identify new sales opportunities, including untapped markets, partnerships, and industries.
* With the direction of the VP of Sales, implement pricing strategies, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with company objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management :
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and distributors.
* Oversee the customer sales process from lead generation to product delivery and post-sale support.
* Address customer inquiries, concerns, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Work closely with customer service and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
* Prepare regular sales reports to track progress against goals, revenue forecasts, and other key performance indicators.
* Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Assist in developing sales forecasts and budgets.
- Product Knowledge & Marketing:
* Stay up to date with industry trends, product innovations, and customer needs.
* Provide feedback to product development teams on customer preferences and product improvements.
* Collaborate with marketing to design promotional campaigns and sales materials.
- Business Development :
* Negotiate contracts and terms with large clients, contractors, or bulk buyers.
* Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other networking events to generate new business opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred, not required ).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction, storage, or modular buildings industry.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a Sales Management role.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and sales software.
