    We're interviewing immediately for a Director of Sales Retail. The successful candidate will drive the sales process for (brick and mortar) retail footprint of 40 retail stores across Chicagoland, 125 salespeople, and a call center.  Responsibilities of overseeing inside / outside salespeople, and the creation and implementation of retail sales strategies, sales quotas, commission plans, contingency process for cancelations, and up-selling, and contingency steps for cancellations of the customer base, and payment processes.

    Experience in creating and implementing all sales strategies as it relates to traditional retail stores. Our client is one of the largest P&C insurance providers in the Midwest.

    The successful candidate will provide the strategic leadership of the enablement team including defining growth strategies, establishing priorities, product development, optimizing carriers relationships, and sales and service training.

    Working directly with the President of the company, the role will also focus on identifying new and optimizing current operational practices within the company offices and across interactions with stakeholders and partner carrier functions.

    This role will optimize the use and engagement with other related sales-enablement practices such as sales reporting and analytics, marketing, training, communication, District Managers, Store Managers, etc.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Manage and evolve Sales Operations function/team
    • Identify, direct and prioritize projects and assignments of the current team
    • Ownership of process flows, documentation, core agent tools, and info as well as coordination with other departments
    • Expand focus and capabilities related to workflow optimization, measurements and use of tools/platforms that support the sales and operational focus
    • Use of data sales analytics to generate sales growth strategies
    • Oversee Products and Carrier growth development and Initiatives
    • Manage/oversee business case development for a multi-state roll-out
    • Evaluate and perform impact assessments for growth priorities
    • Align and optimize our agents’ production efficiencies
    • Oversee key initiatives /projects; serve as the business leads as required
    • Direct and evolve Agents Training agenda
    • Continued expansion and optimization of Agent Certification program
    • Create a vision for a refreshed new hire program
    • Build “experienced” hire training and transition path – in close coordination with HR and training.
    • Identify, implement and manage key processes and tools that impact customer retention
    • Oversight and evolution of current tools including those for service, training, and customer communication
    • Discovery, vetting and business case development for new tools and technologies that will accelerate growth and efficiency
    • Serves as a business owner for such tools/technologies such as Salesforce.com
    • End-to-end user needs assessment
    • 3-5-year roadmap
    • Establish cross-functional governance

    • Development and growth for high performing team of one hundred plus including five direct reports

    Qualifications:

    A proven established leader who is fueled by collaboration, able to transform conceptual thinking into executable insights who is customer-focused, creative, organized, influence, execution-focused, and blend of sales and operations competencies.

    • Proven leadership experience working with Field Sales and Sales enablement experience, ideally within Insurance or financial retail environment
    • Leadership in developing strategies to influence sales behaviors and develop a bench of talent
    • Expertise in implementing systems, processes, and programs at a global scale
    • Expertise in sales enablement tools and technologies, such as Salesforce
    • Experience creating continuous programs for a dynamic selling environment
    • Experience tracking and measuring operations and performance
