    Sales Manager Construction Tampa Florida -NE Division Tampa based

    Applicant should have knowledge of the construction industry heavy civil, concrete formwork, and shoring solutions.

    SUMMARYThe Sales Manager is responsible driving sales activities in the US North East division (Linden, Great Lakes, Baltimore), including supervising contracts, driving sales revenue, managing customer relations, and related sales performance. This individual will provide direction to region Sales Representatives, monitor sales in relation to financial goals, and organize and/or attend exhibits and other promotions. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage the efforts and activities of the US North East sales department in alignment with Infrastructure Services’ revenue goals and objectives.
    • Supervise sales personnel, including recruitment, termination, training, performance evaluations, work allocation, and conflict resolution.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings.
    • Monitor records and reports – including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment – to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Assist in annual budget planning; monitor expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
    • Maintains effective, profitable relationships with existing clients
    • Identifies and pursues leads on new, large and sophisticated clients, develops bids and negotiates contracts. May participate in major customer presentations with Business Developers.
    • Act as a liaison to other business units for completion of day-to-day administrative and operational issues.
    • Create training and development plans for sales representatives.
    • Conduct sales forecasts and weekly and/or monthly status reports.
    • Mentors less experienced technical sales representatives
    • Maintains current knowledge of the construction industry including trends, practices, standards, competition, and Aluma Systems' strengths and advantages
    • Coordinates activities with engineering, operations, and customer service representatives - to allow appropriate lead time for their contribution to sales and service follow up
    • Creates and maintains accurate records that document activities required to manage job sites and prepare job-related reports.
    • Aligns one's activities and interests with branch and company-wide strategy

    Education and/or Experience Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, technical or business discipline; minimum of 7 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

    Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

    Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Database software; Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Office Word Processing software. 

    Other Qualifications Experience in a construction environment
