Job Summary:
The Sales Representative role at our Client's paving company is key to driving growth through client engagement, including referrals, networking, and cold calling. The position covers both residential and commercial sales in Hilton Head, Bluffton, Savannah, Richmond Hill, Beaufort, and Charleston.
In the first year, the role is expected to meet a defined revenue target (discussed upon hire), combining both commercial and residential sales. The position will evolve into a leadership role, responsible for mentoring new sales reps as the company expands to four representatives in 2025.
In 2025, this role will become more strategic—driving market development, refining sales tactics, training, hiring, and maintaining team performance. A minimum 50-hour work week is expected.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Present, promote, and sell hardscape products and services to residential and commercial clients and vendors.
Establish new accounts to meet sales goals across both residential and commercial sectors.
Maintain a consistent weekly block schedule to manage appointments and tasks.
Attend weekly sales and project meetings.
Attend monthly sales-related classes, seminars, and networking events.
Stay current on product details, installation techniques, material availability, and manufacturer updates.
Execute and locate accurate drawings and take-offs for proposals.
Maintain proper communication with the operations manager, field supervisor, clients, and other APD employees.
Use Insightly CRM to manage daily tasks and client communications.
Respond to all client and vendor emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
Update management regularly on client needs, issues, new products, and innovative ideas.
Maintain and organize updated client project folders.
Follow all onboarding instructions and company protocols.
Service clients and prospective clients within assigned territories.
If provided with a company vehicle, keep it clean and fully stocked with all necessary estimating tools and samples.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift samples and products up to 50 lbs as needed.
Proficiency in reading and executing project drawings and take-offs.
Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Insightly.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Valid and clean driver's license and MVR.
Must comply with company vehicle use policy.
Neat and professional personal appearance.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.
