    Job Description

    Universal Studios Hollywood, the Entertainment Capital of L.A. has an opening for an experienced Sales Representative of Event and Group Sales. We are looking for a dynamic sales professional to be a part of a winning team and work for one of the top companies in the world. This position is responsible for focusing on promoting and selling Universal Studios Hollywood’s corporate events and group ticket programs along with assisting various managers. The ideal candidate for this role must be sales driven, results focused, passionate and creative in developing new ticket programs. The candidate will be accountable for expanding Universal’s saturation within the existing client base as well as establishing new clientele.

    Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

    • Partner and support sales managers with sales activities and initiatives
    • Identify, develop and maintain key accounts as well as foster new relationships to exceed revenue goals
    • Identify and generate new sales opportunities and initiatives through business development efforts
    • Increase venue and product awareness within markets by conducting in-person sales calls and familiarization tours, and attending industry events, tradeshows, conferences, etc.
    • Cultivate strong working relationships with event planners within the local corporate market as well as the inbound/3rd party market
    • Conduct and manage email campaigns to promote events and ticket programs and generate leads
    • Prepare proposals and event budgets geared towards maximizing profit while fulfilling client needs
    • Negotiating and contract management
    • Develop event site requests, decks, proposals, contracts, event financial summaries and event pricing requests
    • Manage sales pipeline via daily tracking/inputting and reporting
    • Partner with Event Production to ensure flawless execution of events
    • Effectively partner with operations, entertainment, finance, food/retail and sales/marketing to leverage knowledge and opportunities
    • Manage and partner with CityWalk management team on event offerings inclusive of menu development and dynamic pricing
    • Creation and on-going management of CityWalk processes and procedures
    • Continuously expand knowledge of competition to ensure Universal Studios Hollywood’s placement in the marketplace

    • Minimum 3 years of sales experience
    • Proven success in developing client relationships and managing accounts
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and determine accurate product for customer need
    • Solid sales aptitude with ability to proactively approach prospective clients to drive awareness and adapt sales pitch on the fly, based on client needs
    • Must be detail oriented and exercise critical thinking
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and significant time pressures
    • Must be proactive, self-motivated and resourceful, effectively able to multi-task and wear multiple hats
    • Willingness to travel overnight for business, attend weekend and night events
    • Ability to cross-sell/up-sell comfortably and adapt sales pitch as needed while maintaining a high level of customer service
    • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
