    Sales Representative – Manufacturing Industry
    Location: Solon, OH
    Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Compensation: $100,000 Guaranteed First Year ($30,000 Base + Commission)
    Position Type: Direct Hire

    A growing metals manufacturing and distribution company in Solon is seeking a driven Sales Representative to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships. This role offers strong earning potential, including a guaranteed $100,000 first-year compensation package, for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a consultative selling environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers

    • Generate new business through phone calls, customer visits, and presentations

    • Research and identify potential clients within assigned territory or market segment

    • Prepare and present proposals and quotations to customers

    • Track and analyze monthly and annual sales performance

    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets

    • Provide regular updates to management on sales activity, market conditions, and customer needs

    • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high level of client satisfaction

    • Stay informed on market trends, products, and competitive activity

    • Assist with marketing initiatives, promotions, and trade show participation

    • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM/contact management systems

    Qualifications

    • 3–5 years of sales experience (manufacturing or industrial sales preferred)

    • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

    • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

    • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize customer visits

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/contact management software

    • Experience working with manufacturing companies preferred

    • ERP system experience (Sage, ACT, or similar) is a plus

    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

    • Professional business etiquette and attention to detail

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sales or business-related fields
