You'll be responsible for sourcing, pitching, and signing up the best camps, after-school programs, and kids' activity providers to join the Recess platform, while helping build local awareness and encourage parent engagement. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role for someone who loves connecting with business owners, thrives in fast-paced environments, hits ambitious targets, and is motivated by making parenting easier for families.
Prospect New Providers: Build a strong pipeline of potential activity providers: from summer camps, after school programs, and classes for kids.
Pitch and Close Deals: Conduct outreach (calls, emails, meetings), deliver pitches, and close providers to join the platform.
Manage the Sales Funnel: Track and manage leads through CRM tools, reporting regularly on sales activities and progress.
Onboard New Providers: Ensure a smooth handoff to onboarding, setting up providers for early success.
Be a Local Ambassador: Represent the Recess brand with professionalism and enthusiasm when interacting with parents and providers.
Collaborate with Co-Founders: Work closely with the Recess Co-Founders to hit local market growth goals and support overall expansion efforts.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships roles, ideally at a startup or marketplace
Proven ability to hit or exceed individual sales targets
Comfortable with outbound selling: including email, phone, and in-person outreach
Clear communicator, energetic relationship-builder, and self-starter
Highly organized and able to manage a robust pipeline of prospects
Based in Austin and energized by engaging with local businesses and communities
