    — The Welte Team What you'll be doing

    This role has real variety — you'll be out in the field, building your pipeline, and partnering with our technical team to make sure every job goes smoothly from first call to final install.

    Hunt for new commercial accounts through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and site visits — this is your territory to build

    Conduct site surveys and develop accurate estimates for alarm, IP surveillance, and access control projects

    Prepare and present proposals to business owners, property managers, and facilities directors

    Follow up on company-provided leads and convert them into happy clients

    Work hand-in-hand with our installation crew for a seamless handoff every time

    Keep your pipeline organized and share regular updates with the team

    What we're looking for

    We can teach products — we can't teach drive. If you've got the hunger to go find business and the experience to back it up, we want to meet you.

    2+ years of outside sales experience in security, low-voltage, AV, IT, or a related field

    Real knowledge of alarm systems, IP surveillance/CCTV, access control, or similar tech

    Experience estimating jobs and building professional proposals from scratch

    A proven track record of prospecting — you make calls, knock on doors, and build relationships

    Comfortable with commercial decision-makers: owners, property managers, facilities teams

    Self-managed and goal-oriented — you don't wait to be told what to do

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Nice to have (but not a dealbreaker)

    Familiarity with brands like Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or Lenel

    Experience selling service agreements or recurring contracts

    Existing relationships with commercial clients in CT or the NY metro area
