    Sales Representative – Nutritional & Specialty Ingredients

    The Sales Representative’s main objective is to drive sales growth—measured by revenue, volume, and profit margin. The role focuses on customers in the dietary supplement, food & beverage, and health & wellness industries. Success in this position requires market insight, competitive analysis, account strategy development, and strong client relationships. A key emphasis will be placed on functional ingredients such as chelated minerals, herbal extracts, botanicals, and other specialty compounds.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and grow existing business within the East Coast territory.
    • Leverage strong existing relationships with major dietary supplement companies.
    • Drive ingredient sales using a value-based, consultative selling approach.
    • Offer technical expertise and solutions that address customer needs.
    • Identify and support customer projects that lead to long-term partnerships and revenue growth.
    • Collaborate on new product development, customer formulation challenges, and market expansion initiatives.
    • Regularly engage with R&D teams, procurement, marketing, and product development teams within client organizations.
    • Deliver annual growth by identifying innovation and new product opportunities across relevant market sectors.
    • Represent a diverse portfolio of ingredients and technologies tailored to market demand.
    • Monitor regional market dynamics, including regulatory changes, competitor activity, and unmet customer needs.
    • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety guidelines.

    Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
    • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience in dietary supplement ingredients, specialty foods, or pharmaceutical products.
    • Proven ability to manage key accounts and lead technical discussions with customers.
    • Experience introducing new products and executing innovation strategies in a competitive environment.
    • Goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving and initiative-driven mindset.
    • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork capabilities.
    • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM/sales automation tools.
    • Understanding of marketing and customer insights, including product performance, application needs, and market trends.
    • Ability to explain technical features and benefits to a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of pricing strategy and commercial negotiation.
    • Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, to support and grow customer accounts.
    • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and effective communicator.

    Compensation: $100,000-110,000 plus full benefits!
