Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive, detail-driven Account Manager to support our fresh pork customer base and oversee the daily flow of orders, production schedules, and shipments. This role requires a strong understanding of high-volume, fast-moving fresh meat operations, exceptional accuracy, and seamless communication across multiple internal departments. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, manages complex order details with precision, and builds strong, dependable customer relationships.

Responsibilities
• Manage daily customer orders, ensuring accuracy in order entry, timelines, shipment dates, and product specifications.
• Coordinate closely with production, scheduling, shipping, QA, and sales leadership to align customer requirements with plant capabilities.
• Monitor inventory and production runs to proactively communicate product availability and business opportunities.
• Enter and maintain orders, pricing, and customer notes with a high level of accuracy and speed.
• Prepare quotes, product confirmations, and program updates for assigned accounts.
• Investigate credits and discrepancies by reviewing production data, shipping records, and customer feedback.
• Analyze sales and volume trends using spreadsheets, Power BI reports, and customer usage history.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive, professional communication.
• Manage time-sensitive order changes, truck routing adjustments, freezer pulls, and production modifications.

Required Skills & Abilities
• Minimum of 3 years of account management, sales support, or customer service experience (fresh meat or food production experience strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel proficiency (sorting/filtering, formulas, pivot tables, multi-sheet tracking).
• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems, spreadsheets, and data platforms simultaneously.
• Exceptional data entry accuracy and comfort working with detailed, time-sensitive information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure production environment.
• Sense of urgency and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear direction when customer needs change.
• Comfortable spending extended periods at a computer while maintaining speed and precision.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts at once.

Work Environment & Expectations
• Full-time, onsite position.
• Availability during production and shipping hours to support customer needs.
• Daily collaboration with sales, production, scheduling, QA, and shipping teams.
• Occasional customer visits, plant tours, and participation in internal planning meetings.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to walk up and down 3–4 flights of stairs multiple times per day.
