Position Overview
The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting both inside and outside sales efforts. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with customers, qualifying and managing leads, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring smooth communication between the sales team and clients. Working closely with senior account management, this person will contribute to sales growth by providing operational support, identifying opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads, respond to inquiries, and maintain consistent, professional communication with clients.
- Coordinate and support trade show participation, including organizing schedules and materials.
- Assist with in-person meetings, client visits, and presentations at customer sites.
- Organize showroom visits and events in collaboration with marketing and senior sales staff.
- Track and help achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals.
- Generate new opportunities by:
- Engaging in industry forums and groups
- Networking on social media
- Using tools like LinkedIn and ZoomInfo for prospect research
- Following up with contacts in the CRM system
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with customers across multiple product lines.
- Collaborate with marketing and senior sales managers to meet team objectives.
Qualifications
- Interest in and willingness to learn about brewing, distillation, and other liquid processing industries.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CRM experience is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, approachable style.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on supporting both colleagues and customers.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability required.
- Ability to work full-time Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends for trade shows or events.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records, following SOPs, and participating in training.
