Our client, a recognized leader in the traffic management industry since 2001, partners with city, county, and state agencies across the western U.S. to deliver innovative traffic solutions. With approximately $45M in annual revenue, operations in 10+ states, and consistent year-over-year growth, they are continuing to expand their team.
They are currently hiring a Sales Territory Manager in Colorado to drive growth by developing new business and expanding an existing $2M+ revenue base. This is a client-facing role focused on government agencies and municipalities. Responsibilities include in-person customer meetings, leading product trainings, attending industry trade shows, and hosting lunch-and-learns to build long-term relationships and strengthen brand trust.
We're seeking someone with at least four years of experience in Outside Sales with a proven ability to grow sales in new or underserved markets. You should be comfortable influencing key decision-makers, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and thriving in face-to-face environments.
This role is not well-suited for those focused on channel sales.
Sales Territory Manager Responsibilities:
- Exceed assigned sales revenue, margin, and expense targets in the designated region and/or territory.
- Efficiently manage the entire sales cycle, including essential reporting and forecasting tasks.
- Conduct research to identify and directly engage relevant stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels of influence to introduce and promote our products.
- Offer comprehensive product information, technical support, and tailored solutions to address the specific needs of our customers.
- Develop and deliver educational seminars, compelling sales presentations, and impactful system demonstrations.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams, including inside sales and technical support, to ensure high customer satisfaction and the swift resolution of any issues.
- Collaborate closely with fellow sales team members to enhance sales effectiveness both within the organization and in our external interactions, contributing significantly to overall sales development.
- Cultivate and sustain a profound understanding of our products, professional planning and design, customer requirements and services, as well as a keen awareness of local competitive market dynamics.
- Contribute valuable insights for the creation of innovative product marketing programs tailored to local market needs and cultural nuances.
Sales Territory Manager Qualifications:
- 4+ years’ experience in outside sales.
- Expert in building strong relationships with customers and buying influencers with a focus on service excellence.
- Proven face-to-face and business-to-business sales.
- Must be willing to travel throughout Colorado for client-facing meetings and events with around 20% overnight potential.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:
1st Year Guaranteed Total Compensation: $150K | On-Target Earnings: $180K +
