Job Description
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering effective sales training programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of our sales representatives. The training programs will be designed to prepare the sales team in achieving a high level of expertise in company products, clinical knowledge, and selling skills. The primary goal of this role is to improve sales performance, increase revenue, and drive business growth through comprehensive training initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for new hires and existing sales representatives, covering topics such as product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer relationship management.
Design and develop sales training programs, including content, materials, and interactive exercises, to address the specific needs of our sales team.
Utilize various instructional methods and technologies to deliver effective training, including presentations, role-playing, simulations, and e-learning modules.
Collaborate with sales management and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions that align with business objectives.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics, and continuously refine training programs based on feedback and performance data.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to sales representatives, offering guidance, feedback, and resources to help them achieve their sales targets.
Stay up to date with industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices, and incorporate relevant information into training programs to ensure sales teams are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment and integration of sales training initiatives with overall business strategies.
Assist in the onboarding process for new sales hires, providing them with comprehensive training and support to accelerate their ramp-up and integration into the sales team.
Monitor and track sales team performance (clinical & selling skills), identifying areas for improvement and recommending additional training or development opportunities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, business, marketing, or a related field required.
Advanced degree and/or training certification is preferred.
Minimum of Five (5) years of related Sales experience including training/teaching/education experience, Medical Device industry experience preferred.
Proven experience as a sales trainer or in a similar role, with a strong track record of successfully improving sales performance.
Experience working with a Learning Management System is preferred
The position will be located at the Ponte Vedra, FL office, and may require up to 50% travel.
