    Position Summary

    The Sales & Design Specialist plays a key role in the sales and design team, focusing on responding to inbound client inquiries, creating accurate estimates and proposals, and building strong client relationships. This role emphasizes design expertise, material knowledge, and proposal development in a reactive (non-cold calling) sales environment. The position is ideal for design-oriented professionals who enjoy technical estimating and client interaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Review inbound client requests and architectural drawings/specifications
    • Develop detailed cost estimates and comprehensive proposals
    • Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to ensure feasible, high-quality solutions
    • Communicate effectively with clients to clarify requirements and present proposals
    • Utilize CAD/3D modeling software to support design visualization and estimating
    • Maintain accurate records in Excel and other tools for proposals and client tracking
    • Occasionally travel for client meetings (e.g., approximately 1 day every other week, mainly to New York City)

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • 1–5 years of relevant experience in industrial design, product design, interior design, architecture, or a closely related field
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar)
    • Excellent communication skills, confidence, presence, and ability to build client relationships
    • Interest in sales and solving problems for customers

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in estimating or proposal creation for custom fabrication/architectural projects
    • Understanding of materials and fabrication processes relevant to architectural/custom design work
    • Light financial/estimating acumen
    • Familiarity with reading architectural drawings and specifications
    • Previous exposure to high-end millwork, metal, or glass fabrication

    Compensation

    We offer a competitive compensation package with base salary between $70,000 to $100,000 plus quarterly profit sharing.

    Location & Work Arrangement

    Our office is in Philadelphia, PA.

    Hybrid work is possible. You will be fully on-site for the first 90 days (probation/trial period). After 90 days it is possible to work up to 2 days/week remotely, which is based on performance and reliability
