A Salesforce Developer IV engineers high-performance custom logic using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and REST/SOAP Apis to bridge Salesforce with legacy IRS systems in a FedRAMP-compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Customization: Design, code, test, and deploy custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools like Flow and Process Builder.
Integration & API Development: Build and maintain integrations with external systems (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs) to enable data exchange and workflow automation.
Data Modeling & Governance: Create and maintain robust data models, manage data quality, and ensure compliance with governance policies.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop automated tests, achieve high code coverage (often 75%+ for deployment), and perform regression testing.
Security & Compliance: Implement security controls, review permission sets, and ensure adherence to Salesforce security best practices.
Performance Optimization: Optimize Apex governor limits, improve query performance, and enhance user experience through UI customization.
Documentation & Training: Prepare technical documentation, process flows, and provide training to end-users and other teams.
Release Management: Coordinate with DevOps and release teams for deployments, upgrades, and change management.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze business processes, and recommend process improvements.
Proficiency in full-lifecycle DevOps (SFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines), modern JavaScript (ES6+), and Agile/Scrum delivery within a government security context
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
3-5 years of Salesforce development experience; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDl) required, PD2 highly advantageous
Integration Tools: Experience with MuleSoft, REST/SOAP, and other integration platforms.
Data & Analytics: Familiarity with Salesforce Analytics, reporting, and dashboards.
DevOps & CI/CD: Knowledge of Salesforce DX, Git, and deployment pipelines.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions, leadership experience, and ability to mentor junior developers.
