Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Service Now Developer with deep expertise in designing, developing, and deploying robust ServiceNow solutions, specifically across CSM (Customer Service Management) and ITSM (IT Service Management) modules. This leadership role involves hands-on development, platform architecture, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align ServiceNow solutions with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across CSM and ITSM modules
- Configure and customize Case Management, Tasks, Life Cycle Events, Activities, and other CSM capabilities
- Design and maintain applications using App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, and UI Builder
- Develop and manage Service Catalogs, Record Producers, Order Guides, and advanced workflows
- Implement and support core ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Release, Request, Asset Management
- Build intuitive self-service portals and actionable dashboards for CSM using Performance Analytics
- Write and optimize Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs
- Configure and manage CMDB, Discovery, and MID Server deployments
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Mentor junior ServiceNow developers and ensure adherence to coding and design standards
- Develop front-end and back-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Servlets, and JDBC
Must Have
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Lead with a strong background in CSM and ITSM
- Proficient in using App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, and UI Builder
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, UI customization, and full-cycle application development
- Experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management
- Solid command over web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Backend development knowledge using Java-based technologies (JSP, Servlets, JDBC)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver projects in Agile environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, or Integration Hub
- Exposure to ServiceNow Security, Governance, and Compliance Modules
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing lead role
- Hands-on experience with third-party integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience working on large enterprise-level ServiceNow transformations
Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Required)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (Highly Preferred)
- Additional certifications in CSM, ITSM, or Discovery are a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
