Metropolis Salon is an urban hideaway in the heart of DC. We believe in transforming not just how our clients look, but how they feel. We are looking for a sharp, organized, and high-energy individual to be the "engine" of our salon—someone who can manage a busy front desk with grace and pivot seamlessly to assisting our stylists on the floor.

What You’ll Do

This is a dual-impact role. You are the first face our clients see and the helping hand that keeps the stylists moving.

Front-of-House Excellence:

Lead the Desk: Manage all appointment bookings, phone calls, and client inquiries with a pleasant, professional voice.

Lead Follow-Up: Proactively follow up on client leads and digital inquiries to fill the books.

Social Media: Create and post engaging content (Stories/TikToks/Before & After) to showcase the Metropolis brand.

Admin & Inventory: Keep an organized list of salon supplies for ordering and ensure we never run low on color or essentials.

Back-of-House Support:

Client Comfort: Offer and prepare refreshments for guests upon arrival.

Stylist Support: Perform professional shampoos and apply hair toners under stylist direction.

Salon Upkeep: Maintain a "photo-ready" salon—tidy the color area, disinfect surfaces, and ensure the space is pristine between clients.

Who You Are

The Voice: You have a clear vocabulary, a pleasant phone manner, and a "can-do" customer service attitude.

The Hustle: You are comfortable multitasking. You can answer a phone while organizing a color shelf without breaking a sweat.

The Experience: Prior experience in customer service or a salon environment is required. Experience with shampooing or hair color application is a major plus.

The Pro: You are reliable, punctual, and looking to join a team right away.
