The Key Holder is a creative, energetic and confident Salt Life brand ambassador. The Key Holder is responsible for opening and/or closing the store and ensuring that proper store procedures and policies are followed when management is not on duty or unavailable on the floor. The Key Holder will supervise all employees and oversee customer service, sales, merchandising, and all operational functions in the absence of the store management. RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - Understand, support and adaptable to all company policies and procedures - Constantly strive to achieve and exceed store and personal sales goals - Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and team work with customers, peers and management team - Demonstrate proper etiquette when communicating with external customers (phone, email and written communication) - Deliver exceptional customer service through taking ownership of the sales floor and handling customers with issues and complaints when the absence of management - Develop a strong knowledge of Salt Life product specifications, including, styles, bodies, fits, sizing, content and features. Communicate this knowledge to customers in a clear and concise way - Adoptable to store environment change: - New product and technology - Customer emergencies OPERATIONS - Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including; all transactions, bank deposits and till funds - Open and/or close the store completing all tasks and checklists - Maintain safety requirements to ensure safe working and shopping environment - Maintain an organized stockroom/office - Report maintenance issues to the Store Manager - Flexible/available in the event of scheduling, including, nights, weekends, team member and customer emergencies INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND MERCHANDISING - Process all register/point of sale (POS) transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy - Perform all financial activities efficiently and in accordance with company standards, including cash handling and reporting, price changes, and merchandise handling - Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed and followed per policy - Ensure all new merchandise is properly placed and replenished when needed - Ensure accuracy of store promotions and merchandise markdowns - Ensure in the maintenance of the visual impact for the store: - Mannequins are fully dressed and styled - Visual displays are always in exceptional condition - Identify and communicate product/fixture concerns in a timely manner - Ensure the cash wrap is organized, clean and efficiently operating at all times HUMAN RESOURCES
