Assistant Event Coordinator Saltbox Farm - Concord, MA 01742 JOB DESCRIPTION: Saltbox Kitchen- Concord, Ma Hiring: Full Time Assistant Event Coordinator We are looking for an organized, driven and passionate individual who wants to have fun, learn and grow within our events team. A great work ethic, positive attitude, understanding & interest of food, wine, beer and hospitality are all required. Catering by Saltbox is a division of Saltbox Farm and Saltbox Kitchen we offer a unique and personalized approach to events. Our goal is to help our Clients with as much as they need and help create a special event for them and their guests. Your role with us will include, but is not limited to: * Going to events as a FOH service team member * Staffing events, entering hours for payroll and distributing gratuities * Updating and sending info sheets * Going on site visits, assisting in planning site visits * Managing databases/lists with sales information pertaining to venues, event planners etc. * Securing necessary event permits & insurance needs

• Weekly review of menus, rentals and event info with Catering Chef & Cooking Instructor * Processing paperwork and training for new hires * Communicating proposals, invoices and vendor paperwork with Accounting.
• Coordinating beverage and ice orders * Coordinating all rentals for each event * Assisting with catering-to-go orders * Following up with phone messages, and emails when Event Manager is not available * Making signage for events (food, bar, frames) Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma or G.E.D. * At least 1 year of experience in Catering and/or Restaurant * Team Oriented, with an ability to communicate and take instruction from other team members * Willingness to lead and adapt to unexpected hospitality situations * Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays with variable hours * Reliable transportation * 3 References Job Type: Full-time Education: * High school or equivalent 23 hours ago - save job
