    Salted Melon will offer fast casual all-day breakfast and lunch. We offer customers a full-service dining experience with an expanded dinner menu after 4pm and on weekends. In addition, Salted Melon will have an espresso bar, bakery, retail market, fresh grab n go, bone broth bar, and cocktail bar!

    Job Summary

    We are looking for an experienced Server to join our team! You will be helping create an exceptional dining experience for Salted Melon customers. Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers. You are passionate about food and dining and share that passion by going above and beyond for customers. A natural people person with an eye for the details, you are looking to join a hard-working and efficient team that cares about great food and customer experience

    Responsibilities

    Take orders from customers for food and beverages

    Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems

    Maintain a working knowledge of food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time

    Communicate customer orders to kitchen staff

    Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner

    Qualifications

    Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience

    You have excellent communication skills, can stand for long periods of time, and are able to lift up to 25 pounds.

    Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest

    Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations

    Keep it clean. You treat your tables like they’re in your own home.

    Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment

    Respond to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise

    Understand POS systems and OpenTable (or other digital/online reservation systems)

    Availability to work weekends and some holidays

    Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
