    Job Description

    ROLE TITLE: Product Management

    PURPOSE: working directly with technical teams, colleagues and other Product Managers to identify ways to test functionality and share with Research and Development iterations to make the product and services better for the end users

    MANAGER –Senior Technical Sales Leader

     

    KEY RESULTS AREAS:

     

    1.       INTEGRATIONS AS A PRODUCT.

    2.       INTERNAL TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT.

    3.       PRODUCT COMMUNICATION NORTH AMERICA TO STAKEHOLDERS.

    4.       MARKET INTELLIGENCE GATHERING AND DISTRIBUTION.

     

     KRA 1 – INTEGRATION AS A PRODUCT

    A.       Develop potential Integration Partner Assessment criteria - see that these are implemented.

    B.       In conjunction with Integration Partners - determine and document the functional requirements for a successful implementation.

    C.       Integrations are treated as products - maintained in a product dashboard, developments and updates are communicated to stakeholders.

    D.      Management of Testing Regime for Salto integrations - work with Tech Sales team to make sure base functionality is tested locally before release.

    E.       After the application on an implementation - in the field - assess quality of integration and determine if the product meets Salto quality standards and acceptable end user standards. Engage with integration partners and internal Salto teams to remedy. Report to management as necessary.

     

    KRA 2 – INTERNAL TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT

    A.       Develop and manage a local matrix of hardware, firmware and software version history. Include: key features per version, known issues per version, version release date etc.

    B.       Manage and own the Product Development Requests for North America.

    ●      Standardize Product Development Request format (content required, motivation criteria, rigor necessary).

    ●      Become the conduit for Product Development Requests originating internally from the North American team. Assess, accept/reject and guide iterations until acceptable.

     

    ●      Develop an internally available Product Development Request Dashboard that reflects current status. Past and present Product Development Requests. Track HQ performance, communication and transparency and report to business.

    ●      Train North America team towards greater Product Development Requests success.

     

     

    KRA 3 – PRODUCT COMMUNICATIONS TO STAKEHOLDERS

    A.       Develop a Communication Standard or Methodology for internal, business partner and end user technical update communications. Work with Salto Marketing to make sure communications are effective.

    B.       Upon becoming aware of updates - Initialize and curate communication with the assistance of Salto Marketing for Internal Distribution, Business Partner Distribution and End User Distribution.

    Updates to: Firmware, Hardware, Software, Third Party Integrations and Product Developments Requests are initialized as required.

     

    KRA 4 – MARKET INTELLIGENCE GATHERING AND DISTRIBUTION

    A.       Gather and present market information that Supports Product Development Requests. Liaise with other territories if necessary - North America becomes a leader in motivating product innovation and development through data based feedback to Spain.

    B.       Develop proactive market research to try and understand what our end users want, what our business partners want and what our integration partners want. This would anticipate/precede product development requests. (A regime of surveys, targeted interviews, monthly touch base, quarterly reviews etc.). “Not Random acts of marketing.”

    C.       Ongoing and structured analysis of competition and awareness of threats with focus on Product (software, hardware capabilities, integrations).
