    Job Description

    • MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL UP TO 100% AND BE FLEXIBLE ON TRAVEL LOCATION. CURRENT AND PROJECTED NEEDS ONSITE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
    • CREDENTIALED IN WILLOW, PHOENIX OR WISDOM IS A PLUS.

    The EPIC Trainer will primarily be responsible for facilitating end-user education in a classroom and/or individual basis. The EPIC trainer will work with the training manager, application coordinators, application managers, and analysts to develop and maintain the training program for the roles in their applications. The trainer will also work with specialty champions and nurse champions.

    Responsibilities

    • Learning new content and consulting with subject matter experts to develop/refine training materials and answer any participant questions
    • Assisting with building and testing of training environments, and providing support and troubleshooting issues
    • Collaborating with other trainers by co-facilitating classroom instruction and assisting with exercises as needed
    • Preparing training lessons, printing materials, and setting up the training room and environment prior to the training session
    • Presenting information verbally and in writing in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
    • Manage the classroom environment to ensure participants are engaged and questions are answered or escalated, and completions are documented
    • Following up with trainees outside of the classroom to offer additional support
    • Serving as an expert educator to internal staff
    • Training and credentialing additional classroom trainers as needed
    • Training staff and end users by teaching technical topics as needed
    • Manage time entry and documentation of expenses per client guidelines and in a timely manner

    Responsibilities may also include:

    • Developing role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications (such as Microsoft Office)
    • Designing, developing and maintaining instructional materials
    • Maintaining policy and procedure documentation
    • Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures
    • Managing projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines

    Key competencies

    • Experience

    • EPIC classroom training experience a must. EPIC CREDENTIALING IS REQUIRED.

    • Demonstrating flexibility with respect to required changes in training content and delivery methods

    • The ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to trainers and trainees when speaking and in writing. This includes targeting the amount, style, and content of the information to the needs of the receiver.
