  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The sample login Technician is responsible for sample receiving, check in sample in LIMS, labeling and storing samples according to established laboratory procedures. The role plays a critical part in traceability of sample and following chain of custody procedure. Make sures samples flow through all critical checks and move to lab for analysis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Receive samples from customers/courier and log them into the LIMS.

    · Check COC and record samples conditions checklist, temperature in LIMS and COC.

    · Communicate any irregularities, sample condition issues to team lead and PM. Enter data in LIMS.

    · Ensure samples are properly stored.

    · Inform analysts of samples that require immediate attention for analysis.

    · Receive supplies, answer phones to respond to customer inquiries and transfer calls to the appropriate staff.

    · Perform tasks and maintain records as assigned by supervisor or management.

    · Responsible for assuring that the housekeeping in their work areas is adequate to prevent contamination of samples and to minimize fire and safety hazards.

    · Be able to understand and follow EPA and other environmental protocols and procedures.

    · Ensure that all work is generated in compliance with the A & B QA Plan. Perform all work according to written SOPs.

    · Provide the QA Manager, Laboratory Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead with immediate notification of quality problems. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

    · Comfortable working with a variety of sample types (e.g., soil, water, tissue, food, chemicals).

    · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

    · Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

    · Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or relevant lab experience preferred
    • Prior experience in a laboratory or production environment is a plus

    Work Environment:

    • Fast-paced laboratory environment
    • May require use of PPE (lab coat, gloves, goggles, etc.)
    • Exposure to chemical fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous samples, or noisy equipment
    • May involve working shifts, weekends, or overtime depending on lab workload
