    Job Description

    FAST PACED Behavioral Health Hospital is looking for an experienced FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST. The Front Desk Receptionist is the first impression for our patients and visitors. They provide the highest level of courtesy, respect, and customer service for our patients and visitors.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Retrieves high volume of incoming calls, screens takes messages and directs to appropriate personnel or department in a friendly and helpful manner.
    • Provides routine information.
    • Maintains privacy of protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA.
    • Welcomes on-site patient(s)/visitor(s), determines nature of business, and announces patient(s)/visitor(s) to appropriate personnel.
    • Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from all patients or visitors by responding rapidly and appropriately to complaints and initiates de-escalation, remedies and resolutions or elevates to appropriate leader or another staff member.
    • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and assembling.
    • Displays courtesy, professionalism, compassion and positive, helpful attitude in interactions with providers, staff, patients and visitors.
    • Maintains work area and lobby in neat and orderly manner.
    • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
    • Maintains established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
    • Maintains proper hospital opening and closing procedures.
    • Provides Admissions paperwork when applicable.
    • Implements job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the Code of Ethics.
    • Ensure professionalism while maintaining excellent patient service.
    • Accurately document all patient requests and information.
    • Performs other tasks and related work as required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in a medical office or hospital preferred.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Office software, Internet, Outlook.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Adept at creative problem-solving.
    • Ability to empathize with patients in need of care.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Positive attitude.
