    SCHOOL OF THEATRE AT OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY:

    The School of Theatre teaches undergraduate classes across the theatre topics including:

     

    •          Acting
    •          Movement
    •          Stage Combat
    •          Vocal Production
    •          Stage Management
    •          Lighting Design
    •          Technical Direction
    •          Set Design
    •          Costume Design

    ADJUNCT TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

     

    •          Conduct classes
    •          Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities; and maintain records of such evaluations
    •          Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook
    •          Other duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Varies with position.  All adjunct positions require a minimum of a Master’s degree or Professional Equivalency in field.  For specific questions, please contact the Department Chair.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    The work requirements for this position include teaching during daytime and some evening hours depending upon the needs of the department and its students.  All classes are held on the OCU campus.

  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Working knowledge of building trades, craft skills, and engineering, or comparable industry experience.
    • The ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and set expectations while managing all maintenance deadlines.
    • Working knowledge of CMMS programs
    • Strong leadership, planning, organizational and analytical skills
