    Job Description

    The San Diego Tourism Authority's (SDTA) mission is to drive visitor demand to economically benefit the San Diego region. Tourism is the second largest segment of San Diego's economy. It is vitally important to the economic health of the region. 

    The San Diego Tourism Authority is a private, non-profit, corporation composed of approximately 900 member organizations, businesses, local governments, and individuals seeking a better community through the visitor industry. San Diego Tourism Authority members include tourism-related entities in such categories as lodging, dining, arts, attractions, shopping, and transportation, among others, as well as other companies indirectly involved in tourism.

    As a sales and marketing organization, the main objective of the San Diego Tourism Authority is to promote and market the San Diego region as a preferred vacation and meeting destination. 

    We are currently looking for a PRODUCTION COORDINATOR.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist in production of creative and communication materials based on the established San Diego brand. Provide traffic coordination support to the Marketing & Strategic Partnerships team. Support the Design & Production Manager and the Marketing & Strategic Partnerships team in meeting departmental goals.   

    SPECIFIC DUTIES 

    • Coordinate marketing trafficking activities across multiple channels.
    • Effectively intake project requests by interpreting requestor’s needs and clearly understanding their objective. Inquire and gather necessary details to launch and assign tasks to team members.
    • Assist in developing project schedules for specific creative and communications deliverables. Continue to monitor tasks and schedules, keeping them on track for delivery and updating key stakeholders as needed.
    • Capture, update and maintain all projects in project management system.
    • Assist in production of presentations, resizing digital ads, and collateral.  
    • Ensure brand consistency throughout all projects and communications
    • Assist in image selection, resizing, and distribution.
    • Maintain and distribute corporate assets to internal team and external partners.
    • Prioritize tasks and projects according to business needs and turn-around times.

     

    REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.     • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design or Equivalent 
    • 2 + years experience in project management process and tools and/or production design
    • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign  
    • Portfolio demonstrating production design
    • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail 
    • Agency experience a plus
    • BaseCamp Experience preferred
    • Possess a service mentality and have the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
