    Film School - Faculty Positions The San Francisco Film School is looking for passionate and seasoned instructors to join our vibrant faculty in the following areas: • EDITING - FACULTY • NARRATIVE FILMMAKING - LAB INSTRUCTORWe are hiring additional faculty members for the Fall 2021 semester. Instructors must be able to commit to at least 6 hours of teaching per week. Our classes are taught hybrid, meaning that they are taught BOTH online and in person. You MUST have A DEGREE IN FILMMAKING (OR RELATED FIELD) AND AT LEAST FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN YOUR AREA OF EXPERTISE. A reel of top-quality work is essential and will be required for all applicants. Responsibilities: Faculty members are expected to: • Work with the school's Dean to design curricula for each class • Foster student engagement • Create a supportive and culturally conscious environment for students and encourage them to do their best work • Perform all duties related to their teaching in a timely and professional manner • Attend monthly faculty meetings • Coordinate with school administration on student attendance and grading Qualifications: EDITING INSTRUCTOR • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience • Bachelor degree in film or related field • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere (Adobe Certified Instructor preferred) • Experience working with both HD and 4K footage and professional workflows • Extensive knowledge of editing craft • Teaching experience preferred, but not necessary NARRATIVE FILMMAKING LAB INSTRUCTOR • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience working on film sets • Associate degree in film or related field • Experience in all aspects of basic narrative film production (DSLR cameras, sound recording, lighting) • Teaching experience preferred, but not necessary Compensation: $25 - $60 hourly
