Responsibilities: • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings The attorney will be responsible for all aspects of clients’ matters including: • Meeting with the boss (heretofore called the "Client") • Devising strategies focused on providing value to the boss • Finalizing and customizing documents through technology and as efficiently as possible • Drafting pleadings aimed at satisfying the jury charge • Supervising and delegating work to paralegals and assistants so lawyer time is maximized • Preparing for and attending hearings and trials with the information and evidence at your fingertips, etc. Qualifications: • Be an active member of the Texas Bar • Have 7+ years’ experience in either Commercial Litigation, Corporate work, Real Estate Litigation, and Business Disputes.Have Jury Trial Experience, second chair is acceptable. • You should be a self-starter, a quick learner, and have a solid ability to work both independently and with a team. • Creative problem-solving, flexibility, and an ability to prioritize are important. • Have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Have solid computer and time management skills. • Demonstrate a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity in the handling of personal client information, including following the Rules of Professional Conduct. • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with high standards for quality of work. • Be able to interact with our clients, colleagues, and co-workers in a compassionate, personable, and professional manner. • Skills and experience are required and valued, but attitude, character, personality, and integrity, are also important. High-maintenance, humorless or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and should not apply. Compensation: $150,000 yearly plus bonuses
