We are looking for an animal lover who thrives on hard work in all weather to join our team of animal caretakers at Safe Haven Farm Sanctuary in Poughquag, NY. You must live within 30 minutes of Poughquag and have reliable transportation. At least one year of animal care experience is required. Preparing meals, cleaning animal enclosures and pastures, washing bowls and containers, carrying 50 lb bags of lime, feed and shavings, emptying wheelbarrows in dumpster, restocking areas with shavings, hay, and straw, driving farm truck, and ensuring fresh water are among the daily tasks. Carpentry skills and ability to use farm machinery are pluses. Successful candidates will be able to ensure all daily tasks are performed successfully. Because this is a sanctuary, we encourage vegans or vegetarians to apply. Weekend shifts are required.
