    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our sand plant Mentone, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of production staff to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) standards. The ideal candidate should have an advanced understanding of sand processing equipment, understand how each component works in detail, and what fine tuning adjustments need made to effectively clean sand. Candidates must be willing to relocate if they are not in a relative area.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Safety and Compliance:

    · Foster a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety meetings.

    · Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental standards, regulations, and company policies, including MSHA regulations.

    · Conduct weekly safety meetings, safety inspections and enforce compliance with safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

    People Management:

    · Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.

    · Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff while fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and productivity.

    · Must embrace a Servant Leadership style where your main focus is on serving, supporting, and empowering the team.

    · Conduct performance reviews at 90 days and yearly for all employees to assess their progress, set goals, and identify areas for improvement.

    · Collaborate with the Chief Operations Officer on personnel matters and effectively manage the rotational work schedule for the wash plant and loadout operations.

    · Review and approve employee time sheets for accuracy and promptly inform HR about any employee absences.

    Production Operations:

    · Plan, schedule, and coordinate production operations, including wash plant processing, decant pile management, and loadout operations.

    · Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high standards. Ensure all production and quality records are being properly maintained.

    · Interface daily with the lead plant operators to discuss ongoing and upcoming operations.

    · Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

    · Supervise third-party mining operations to ensure they are working safely and within the defined scope of work.

    Equipment and Maintenance:

    · Demonstrate strong knowledge of sand processing equipment, including how it operates and how adjustments affect the quality of the sand to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

    · Pinpoint and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

    · Develop and write comprehensive maintenance programs, ensuring that routine preventative maintenance and repair activities are documented and executed.

    · Operate and maintain equipment used in frac sand processing.

    · Establish and manage routine maintenance inspection and service schedules to ensure all equipment is in safe and efficient working order.

    · Establish a spare inventory to support operational and maintenance needs.

    Collaboration and Reporting:

    · Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to optimize overall plant operations.

    · Prepare reports on production performance, including output levels, downtime, and quality issues for management review.

    Other Duties May Be Assigned:

    · Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet the operational needs of the plant.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally for equipment handling or maintenance tasks.

    · Sitting/Standing/Walking: Ability to engage in prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking in both indoor office areas and outdoor environments.

    · Climbing: Ability to climb stairs or ladders as necessary to access equipment for inspection or maintenance.

    · Stamina: Must possess the physical endurance to operate machinery for extended periods, including engaging in repetitive motions.

    · Environmental Tolerance: Ability to work in varying weather conditions and endure noise levels typical of an outdoor plant setting.

    · Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment and using computer systems.

    · Vision: Adequate vision to read scales and monitor equipment functionality.

    · Communication: Strong communication skills to interact effectively in a busy work environment.

    Required Qualifications:

    · 10+ years of experience in the oil & gas sector with a firm understanding of the industry demands.

    · 5+ years of experience in mining or mineral processing industry.

    · 2+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the mining or mineral processing industry.

    · Strong understanding of aggregate production equipment, production processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations.

    · Trained on MSHA Part 46 initial 24 hour training and annual 8 hour training.

    · Firm understanding of Title 30 of the Federal Code of Regulations that establishes the minimum requirements for mining operations and standards.

    · Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Must embrace a Servant Leadership style where your focus is on serving, supporting, and empowering the team.

    · High attention to detail and a deep drive for accuracy is required.

    · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pinpoint issues and implement solutions under pressure.

    · Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for tracking production data and metrics, communications, and presenting data and trends.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.

    · Must Possess a Valid Driver's License-with a Clean Driving Record

    · Must be willing to relocate if not currently in the area.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · An associate or bachelor’s degree

    · OSHA 30-hour safety training.
