Our boutique consulting firm, Sandbox, is currently recruiting for our Junior Associate role. We are seeking college grads to join our team to establish and quickly grow in their careers.

    A little bit about the job!

    You will work on a variety of projects that will develop your skills and excel your career as a future leader. Our focus on entry-level hiring means we want to invest in your growth and provide expertise and mentorship through our "associate-led, partner-backed” model. Before long, you will become a key decision maker, own client and community relationships, and have a front row seat to see your impact on disruptive startups across various industries.

    As a Junior Associate, you will play the following roles for our People Operations teams:

    • Problem-Solving Gopher - You will serve as an escalation point for fielding client requests, managing research projects and questions.
    • Communicator - As a communications champion, you will be on deck for ghostwriting external communications on behalf of our clients.
    • Organizer - On any given day you may be asked to develop and maintain simple, effective systems, templates and retention systems to keep our clients organized, efficient, and connected. This will include, among other things, managing and maintaining client documents and owning investor documentation.
    • Team-Player - In some instances, you may be pulled into a client meeting to provide ad-hoc supplemental support on projects; this might include assisting with client intake calls, policy needs, building candidate surveys, candidate outreach and sourcing, or screening candidates. On other days, you may be asked to contribute to the Sandbox Fun Committee (yes, it's a thing!) or work with our strategic partners and affiliate networks to ensure we remain engaged in the local and start-up communities.
    • Learner - Arguably the most important role you will play-- inevitably we will ask you to flex your intellectual curiosity muscles to learn new skills that you can build upon in this role—even if it means messing up, learning from it, and moving on!

    We are excited about you because…

    • You have an expected May 2024 graduation date with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Sociology, or similar related Business field.
    • You are a strong communicator with a passion for working with people.
    • You have a broad understanding of multiple HR competencies, to include recruiting, employee/labor relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, and handbooks/policies.
    • You have a general awareness of key HR softwares and technologies, such as Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Handshake, and other HRIS systems.
    • You are proficient in Google Suite including Drive, Calendars, Docs, Sheets and Slides.
    • You possess good judgment and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines by staying organized and not letting the smallest of details slip through the cracks.
    • You have a demonstrated willingness to learn new skills on the fly and apply these unmastered/unrefined/not perfect skills for company executives, management, and other leaders.
    • Bonus points: You have a strong passion and interest in the venture capital and startup space!
