Role and Responsibilities
SUMMARY: The Operations Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of field service including some job sales, scope, scheduling, staffing assignments, procurement, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction with all on-site work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Works with customers to understand scope of field service projects.
· When necessary, participates in kick-off meeting with customer and assumes the role of on-site manager for installations.
· When necessary, prepares and delivers estimates to customers for field service.
· Tracks and documents change orders to ensure proper billing at project completion.
· Manages procurement process and ensures material is ordered and sent to job sites on time. Receives inbound requests for additional material from field and determines proper course of action with purchasing.
· On occasion acts as sales lead for field service work to develop business.
· Responsible for direction and management of on-site field service crews.
· Works with field service crews to ensure all aspects of job are complete.
· Ensures all safety requirements are met.
· Ensures SandoSurgical quality standards are upheld within field service organization.
· Develops written reporting procedures for all field service work performed.
· Ensures accurate records of all field service calls are maintained.
· Reviews all customer billings to ensure accuracy.
· Tracks and maintains records of warranty work.
· When possible, looks for ways to minimize travel costs by scheduling jobs in the same vicinity at the same time within the same client or for multiple clients in the area.
· Responsible for supervising all field service personnel.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• 5-7 years of experience in Biomedical engineering service, in the hospital/medical industry with 3-5 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of skills and experience. • Proven ability to work in a cross functional team environment.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Using excellent customer service skills which includes maintaining a good attitude, taking ownership of meeting customer needs, going the “extra mile” for customers, demonstrating a commitment to sharpening skills through education and training, using positive communication, and looking for opportunities to respect customers’ time and schedules.
Additional Notes
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
