If so, we have the opportunity for you! Flour Bakery + Cafe is looking for exceptional sandwich makers for our growing team! This is a great position for experienced line cooks or prep cooks.
You’ll be making sandwiches accurately and with speed while interacting with guests and giving great hospitality.
The preferred availability for this specific position is closing shifts Wednesday through Saturday, and an opening shift on Sunday.
Day-to-day Performance Expectations:
Provide exceptional customer service while working quickly and efficiently as a team
Follow assembly instructions accurately and thoroughly to ensure each sandwich is consistent and delicious!
Skills for Qualification:
Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment
You must have flexible availability to work afternoons and weekends, and desire to work at least 24 hours a week.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, hard working, possess strong guest service skills, and be comfortable working in a professional kitchen environment.
We are seeking self-motivated employees who work well in a fun, positive, fast-paced team environment with possibilities for advancement.
We ask for a minimum commitment of one year for sandwich makers, and unfortunately, we do not offer seasonal or temporary work.
Compensation:
This position has an average starting compensation of $20-$24 per hour (base wage of $15 + $5-9 per hour in pooled tips). The starting pay rate for this position is $15, but the total pay range is $15-$19.86.
Physical Requirements:
Be prepared to be on your feet all day. This is a physically active role.
Ability to stand for long periods, walk, sit, push, pull, reach, and lift < 50 lbs. without assistance
Ability to operate equipment such as ovens, grills, knives and other kitchen equipment and utensils
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, machinery, and at times, tight spaces.
Must be able to work around various aromas and fluctuating temperatures (at times, you could be in a freezer and/or hot kitchens, etc.)
