    Weekend Only We are actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care clinic in Surf City, NC. Looking for a candidate who would be interested in working Saturday and Sundays. This would include Saturday and Sunday 8 AM- 5 PM. This will be a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team who strives to provide exceptional high quality patient care.

    The ideal candidate will be licensed as an NP or PA in the state of North Carolina; be able to work independently; have at least 2+ years of experience as a provider in an urgent care or emergency care setting; encourage teamwork and communication between clinical and administrative staff; use sound clinical judgment to determine when a supervising physician should be consulted.

    We are looking for a candidate who is detail oriented, dependable, self-motivated, efficient, flexible, and dedicated to providing high quality evidenced based medicine.

    Must be able to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Provide care for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities courteously and efficiently with exceptional compassionate care

    Provide quality care for urgent care patients

    Maintain accurate and efficient charting with our comprehensive EHR system

    Diagnose and treat, prescribe medications, perform laceration repairs and I&D’s, order labs and imaging

    Lead weekend staff with team-oriented approach.

    Operate as an integral team member alongside other providers, nurses, medical personnel, and front office staff

    Qualifications:

    Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner school (Masters required)

    Current BLS

    Licensed in North Carolina

    Current DEA license

    Due to the autonomous nature of the position, advanced practitioners must be able to treat patients from birth through late adulthood and have a minimum of 2 + years of advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care.

    Schedule:

    Saturday and Sundays 8 AM-2PM

    We will offer our supervising physician but you may be required to pay a portion of the monthly fees.

    Job Type: Part time

    Pay: $45-$55 per hour depending on experience.
